Week four SUSP workshop

This week's workshop focused on Writing, Creating, Publication. We discussed the how, where, and why of researchers sharing their work. Our discussion is briefly summarized below.

How: Articles/Publications, Conferences, Social Media, Books, Popular Works (poems, songs, blogs, etc.)

Where: local (Ex. UWP PCARD) → Regional (Ex. UW System Symposium; Tri-State) → National

Why attend conferences: Inspiration, Networking, Learning, Resources, Feedback, Collaboration, Meet Heroes, and Fun

We talked about the differences between poster presentations and oral presentations, as well as the #betterposter debate in academia.
